The GT NOLA AgeWell Program is dedicated to empowering older adults in New Orleans to age in place with independence and vitality through a focus on four key areas: literacy, community navigation, movement arts, and wellness education. Our program offerings include technological literacy workshops which focus on helping older adults become comfortable with technology and stay connected with family, friends, and community resources. In our community navigation workshops, participants learn how to confidently and safely use public transportation, access local services, and navigate community resources. Our movement arts classes, such as dance and yoga, are tailored to various levels of abilities and fitness which promote physical activity and social engagement. Additionally, our wellness education covers essential topics like nutrition, managing chronic conditions, and overall wellness, providing older adults with the knowledge and skills to maintain a healthy lifestyle. By focusing on these areas, GT NOLA AgeWell aims to enhance the quality of life for older adults, fostering a sense of community, independence, and overall well-being.
